Check Out Our New Books!

Please drop by the Library and pick up your summer reading log.

If you are ages 0-10 and you read and note down in your log a minimum of 20 picture books or 6 chapter books, you can earn a t-shirt or a book bag. If you are ages 11-18 and you read and note down in your log a minimum of 6 chapter books, you can earn a 4-day pass to the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Fair, a t-shirt, or a book bag.

We even have an incentive program for adults… Just come by, sign up with a goal of 2 or more books to read and pick up your own book bag. This year’s design for the book bag and the t-shirt is from our own Paul Karasik…it is extremely cool.

As always, we like to encourage you to read a variety of titles, so prose, poetry, graphic novels and books on tape are all great choices. And, of course, if you are not reading yet, getting someone to read to you is always a great way to reach your goal.
